About the initiative

The Healthcare Research Grant Initiative (HRGI) is a collaborative effort by professionals across healthcare and technology, pooling resources to empower Nigerian students in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Medical Laboratory Science.

We provide ₦300,000 research grants to support innovative student projects in:

• Digital Health

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare

• Health Informatics

Our mission is to nurture young minds to explore bold ideas, solve pressing healthcare challenges, and contribute to the digital transformation of healthcare in Nigeria.

• Funding per project: ₦300,000

• Eligible Applicants: Undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Medical Laboratory Science (individual or team-based projects).

• Focus Areas: Digital Health, AI, and Health Informatics applications in healthcare.

• Application Deadline: 15/09/2025

• Winner Selection: Projects will be reviewed by a panel of experts based on innovation, feasibility, and impact.
